Should be around two years now. I was unable to breed them this year but really hope for some next season. I really enjoy this species myself.

Please excuse my ignorance and lack of scientific terms, is this a Great Crested Newt?

Sorry, I've just found out what this is. I've answered my own question. I thought it was a Triturus cristatus, but discovered you keep Triturus dobrogicus.
