I was walking past the tank today and I just had to show you pics I got.
We have had Bilbo just over a year now and Monty and Casper for just over 7 months.

You can also see our swan mussel (she keeps the tank nice and clean)
and you will notice a platy we placed in the tank as a treat for the Axies...... As you can see they just ended up being friends..lol

Great Job

Great looking axies. This has strengthened my resolve to get a leucistic. Yours are so beautiful.

Ricky, lovely axolotls. If you can take another photo like the first one but a little sharper in focus, I think it would have a very good chance in the 2008 Calendar Competition (I'm certain it would be one of the winners).

WoW!

Thanks John,
I'll have to get the guys to do some posing again, That would be amazing to see them in a Calendar, My own little pin ups... LOL

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
