I took a video of Monti, my female (I think) eastern tiger salamander, eating a worm. I'm not a pro at this so it's not the best quality since it was my first try at a video with my camera but I think it's kinda neat. If you put the volume up you can hear her gobbling the worm and you can even hear her head "thud" against the tank while shaking the worm.

Cool video, and very nice salamander. She looks like she enjoyed that meal.

nice footage, very good looking tiger salamander.
does it normally take that long to eat a worm?
because my axolotls eat it within 5 secs at the most.
nice tiger sal anyway.
and good job on the video taping it for the first time

Yes it usually takes her that long to gobble a worm, it would take more time if the worm was longer. I would venture that axolotls can eat faster because they are under water and it takes less effort for them to swallow.

Your tiger salamander is really pretty.
I always find it so funny when my tiger salamander shakes its worm, almost like a dog.
Anyway, I enjoyed the video. :D
