Mondo grass = not aquatic

I'm really getting sick and tried of buying from and listening to large chain pet stores. 80% of the information is given is **** and is usually used to get you to buy their products. The last investment I made was Mondo grass which was sold to me as a great aquatic plant. I liked the look and so I bought a couple of bunches. Only after doing this did I find (from here and other sources) that it is not. Thats the last time I buy something (small, cheap, or otherwise) without first looking at this site and other sources. I know most of the people on here know this fact, I just made this thread to vent and hopefully other beginners won't make the same mistake.

Here's a link to an oldie but a goodie: the Krib's list of "blacklisted plants". These are all plants that pet shops sell for aquariums, but aren't actually aquatic plants at all.

Thanks for the list, I know now that I need do background research on everything I buy. I just hope beginners will see this before going to the pet store.

Mondo glass is not aquatic, but nor is terrestrial, it likes to be partially submerged. I know this because it's growing in a river near my house and as I said it's half in and half out of the water and it is thriving there, there for mondo grass grows best in a semi aquatic place
