Okay guys, I saw these a week ago and they disappeared, but now they are back. It's by the beginning of the tail.

Can you photoshop one of the photos to circle the white spot(s)? I can't see anything.

No, but you can see it in the third pic. It's a blurry white spot(it's a little bit above where the tail starts). And in the other pics it's the thing sticking out of the newts back. I think it might be fungus. Do you think I could put another filter in my tank? I have an internal waterfall filter and I'm thinking of putting in a duetto. It's a 29 gallon filled halfway.

Anyone there?

I'm pretty sure it's fungus. So i have a couple questions about salt baths and refrigeration. First, CC uses grams and liters can someone convert that for me? Second, how long do I bathe them? 30 mins? Third, how do I refrigerate my newt? How long? And fourth, what about the filter?

Re: Anyone there?

The proportions are given in teaspoons and quarts (see Appendix at the bottom of the page):
http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/salt.shtml
(And why ask for someone here to convert for you, are you unable to use google and a calculator? When I was in school, we were taught how to do metric conversions in 7th grade.)

What is the water temp in the tank? If it's not high, I wouldn't refrigerate.

Why would a Duetto filter be better than the internal waterfall filter? Duettos are more difficult to maintain, and I can't see any obvious advantage over what you have.

Thanks. The temp. in the tank is about 63 degrees. I was planning on putting the Duetto in there with the internal waterfall to improve the water quality.

P.S. I take pre-algebra and they still haven't taught us that. I wonder when they'll teach me something I'm ever going to need. :)
