Nice.

Those are some interesting animals you have there(I cant decide if there cool or just a bit... freaky).
You female looks rather... how to put this tactfully? Porky!

The first photo really reminds me off an ex, she had that exact same expression when I was about to get told off for something!

Those ribbed newts are drop dead gorgeous Jay! Congrats on gettting them to mate! Have they laid any eggs since you saw amplexus?

Please keep us posted.

Awesome!
They're brothers and sisters?

Skillet told me about these, he described them as "leucistic, fully aquatic salamnders". He didn't know exactly what they were but the first thing I thought of was just an axolotl. But then he says "no they don't have any gills and they get big!".

It wasn't until later that he told me that they are spanish ribbed newts, then I was really impressed. They look awsome. It's nice to finally see what they look like.

Whoa, those are some interesting newts you got there. Best of luck with them.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. I also asked this as an actual question in a thread in case anyone wants to answer it there instead of here
