Mesotriton alpestris pre-morph juvies!

Alright folks, I would post these pics in my Triturus thread but I think they would get lost in the shuffle and Im damn proud of these as theyre my first true good pics of my newts. Everything else has been blurred far away ****. Now Im starting to learn everything so here we go:

I have them all named as some are kinda distinct, though by the time they morph, I dont know if the name will stick.

1. Stripe - As you can see, huge golden stripe. Plus some idiot bit his tail... Im taking names.
2. Bluey - Hes a bright blue and awesome
3. Fat *** (or Fat 'F') - I think he has bloat and wont live too long...
4. Morph - He seems to be the closest to morphing
5. Satan - Hes the biggest of the group and seems to be the biter. He has huge feather gills, like horns
6. Misc - Havent come up with a name yet

Do you think its bloat? Hes been that huge for over a month now.

Nice photos, you can already see the blue color coming on them. The 3rd one is certainly bloated, it's amazing it has been that way for so long.

I love the facial detail in the first one, the very thin lines connecting the eyes to ...whatever it's connecting them to!

What great photos, mine still come out with the 'artistic' clouding look!, Needless to say they are not helping my unexpected attraction to newts...been eyeing up the tank lurking in the garden....oh the temptation!

In a bit of bad, sad news. Satan BIT Morph in the rear leg. Its not missing or anything, but his foot is turned upside down and he has to walk basically on the top of his foot, instead of the 'palm' part. Naturally theyve been seperated... I am SOOOOOO pissed at this, I have no idea if it will heal. Anyone know theyre recovering on what appears to be a broken wrist/bone?
