Nice, what is the bottom of the tank made up of?
 
In the picture is wet paper towels, but that's not her regular tank. That's Eddie's tank for now until he gets a little bigger. I sometimes put her in there with him so they can get to know each other.
 
Oooh! I've been wanting to see a good shot of Bart's hands. And her underside is so pink. That's a different view of her!
I was actually thinking about Bart as I was driving home from work tonight. I was thinking, "I wonder if Ryan knows that 'Bart' means 'beard' in German. I also wonder if he sticks his hand in the tank and whether Bart is friendly to him." Don't ask me what inspired that. It was either think about that, or pizza, and it was too late to get any pizza.
 
Well I didn't know that, and yes she is very friendly.

    Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
